El 7 de agosto de 2012 (inicialmente el lanzamiento estaba previsto para abril) Roxy Music publica ‘The Complete Studio Recordings 1972-1982’, una caja que celebra los 40 años desde la aparición de la banda en 1972 con su álbum homónimo. Este lanzamiento es el primero de una serie de reediciones con Virgin Records. ‘Roxy Music: The Complete Studio Recordings 1972-1982’ contiene 8CD y 4DVD con los ocho álbumes de estudio del grupo (‘Roxy Music’, ‘For Your Pleasure’, ‘Stranded’, ‘Country Life’, ‘Siren’, ‘Manifesto’, ‘Flesh And Blood’ y ‘Avalon’) y una selección de singles no incluidos en los discos, caras-b y remezclas, muchos de los cuales aparecen por primera vez en CD. Cada álbum se lanza también en formato DVD en audio de alta resolución, transferido digitalmente desde las cintas analógicas originales.
